North Korea’s state run media has said that Donald Trump deserves the death penalty for insulting their leader Kim Jong Un.
According to the Guardian, an editorial in Pyongyang’s ruling party newspaper said Trump offended North Korea when he denounced its “cruel dictatorship” during his tour around Asia. And that was reason enough to call for Trump’s execution.
The paper also called Donald Trump a “coward” for cancelling a visit to the inter-Korean border.
“The worst crime for which he can never be pardoned is that he dared [to] malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership,” the editorial said.
“He should know that he is just a hideous criminal sentenced to death by the Korean people.”
Since becoming president a year ago, Donald Trump has engaged in an escalating war of words with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un, often trading personal insults and threats of military strikes via twitter and raising concerns of imminent nuclear strike.
As of yet Donald Trump has not yet responded to his “death sentence,” but he did have this to say about his trip last week.
Our great country is respected again in Asia. You will see the fruits of our long but successful trip for many years to come!
